Advanced Search Filters in CStoreIQ Price Book Explained

Advanced Search Filters in CStoreIQ Price Book Explained

The Advanced Search feature boosts efficiency by allowing for detailed item searches. It offers filters for department, store location, vendor, and various product attributes, along with the ability to search by selling prices. Additionally, the "POS Sync Status" and "Is Multipack" filters facilitate item synchronization management and the identification of Multipack items, respectively. Here are the steps to utilize this robust search tool for managing your company's price book.

1. Accessing the Manage Items Page:
  1.     Log into your account with your credentials.
  2.     Once logged in, navigate to the left column of the application and click on the "Price Book" option. A dropdown menu will appear.

2. Reaching Advanced Search:
  1.     Choose "Manage Items” Option Under Price Book.
  2.     On the Manage Items page, you'll find the 'Advanced Search' option.

  1.       Expanding it reveals a series of dropdowns, each tailored to help you fine-tune your item search.

3. Search by Department:

  1.     This allows you to select from different departments in the dropdown menu. Choose a specific department to narrow down your search.

4. Filter by Store Location:

  1.      If you're looking for results from a specific store location, use the 'Store Location' dropdown. If your company has only one store, you will not see this filter.

5. Choose a Vendor:

  1.      If you're interested in items from a specific vendor, select them using the 'Vendor' option.

6. Filter by Price Group:
  1.       Additionally, you can filter by price group to find the results you're interested in.

7. Use 'Search by' for Specific Criteria:
The 'Search by' dropdown provides multiple tailored options. Find items that fall under categories such as
  1. Unknown Department type,
  2. Items with no Buying cost,
  3. Items with no Selling Price,
  4. Items with no Description,
  5. Items without Store location.

8. Define Selling Price Parameters:
  1.     If you wish to filter items by selling price, the 'Search by Selling Price' section provides options for exact matches, setting upper or lower limits, or defining specific price ranges.

  1.     Equal To: When you select "Equal To" from the dropdown, you are specifying that you want to find items with a selling price that exactly matches the value you enter.
  1.     Less Than Equal To: Choosing "Less Than Equal To" means you are looking for items with a selling price less than or equal to the value you provide.
  1.     Greater Than Equal To: "Greater Than Equal To" allows you to find items with a selling price greater than or equal to the specified value.
  1.     Between: The "Between" option is used to find items with selling prices falling within a specified range.

When you select "Between," you will need to input two values, a lower and an upper limit, to define the range.

9. Filter by POS Sync Status:
Based on the Synchronization progress of the item, select from options like 'Current', 'Push to POS', 'In Progress', 'Error', or 'Suspended'.
  1. 'Current': Current have already been successfully synchronized with the point of sale system. You should be able to scan these items on your POS.
  2. ‘Push to POS’: You'll see the items that have recent changes, and are pending synchronization.
  3. ‘Error’: The status is assigned to items that encountered issues during synchronization.
  4. ‘Suspended’:  These items will not scan at the register. Items you wish to remove from your register can be marked as suspended, and this filter allows you to locate all such items marked suspended.

10. Identify Multipacks:
  1.      For those dealing with bundled items, there's the 'Is Multipack' checkbox, ensuring you can easily spot items sold in multipacks.

11. Search:
  1.      After defining your criteria, click 'Search' to view the matching items with key details such as department, costs, price, margin, and inventory.

12. Review:
  1.  As an illustration, if you want to filter out products from the 'Beer' department with a selling price greater than $15 that are currently synced with the POS, Advanced Search simplifies this task.
