Advanced Search Filters in the Price Book

Advanced Search Filters in the Price Book

The Advanced Search feature makes managing your price book more efficient by allowing you to search for items with detailed filters. With options to filter by department, store location, vendor, price group, selling prices, and product attributes, it’s a robust tool for refining your search. Additionally, features like "POS Sync Status" and "Is Multipack" make it easy to manage item synchronization and identify bundled products.

Follow these steps to use the Advanced Search feature effectively:

1. Accessing the Manage Items Page

  • Log into your account using your credentials.

  • Navigate to the left menu and click on "Price Book."

  • From the dropdown menu, select "Manage Items."

2. Reaching Advanced Search

  • On the Manage Items page, locate the 'Advanced Search' option.

  • Expand it to reveal various dropdown menus and filters designed to fine-tune your search.

3. Search by Department

  • Use the 'Department' dropdown to narrow your search to specific departments (e.g., beverages, groceries).

4. Filter by Store Location

  • Select a specific store location using the 'Store Location' dropdown. If your business operates only one store, this option will not be visible.

5. Choose a Vendor

  • Filter products supplied by a specific vendor using the 'Vendor' dropdown.

6. Filter by Price Group

  • Use the 'Price Group' option to find items associated with a particular pricing group.

7. Use 'Search by' for Specific Criteria

The 'Search by' dropdown lets you locate items based on:

  • Items with unknown departments.

  • Products with no buying cost or no selling price.

  • Items without descriptions or store locations.

8. Define Selling Price Parameters

Filter items by selling price using these options:

  • Equal To: Find items with an exact selling price.

  • Less Than Equal To: Search for items priced less than or equal to your input.

  • Greater Than Equal To: Look for items priced higher than or equal to the specified value.

  • Between: Define a price range by entering a lower and upper limit.

9. Filter by POS Sync Status

Select synchronization statuses for your items:

  • Current: Items successfully synced with the POS and ready for scanning.

  • Push to POS: Items pending synchronization after updates.

  • Error: Items that faced issues during synchronization.

  • Suspended: Items removed from POS and unavailable for scanning.

10. Identify Multipacks

Check the 'Is Multipack' box to filter bundled items sold as multipacks.

11. Search

  • Once all your filters are set, click 'Search' to view matching results.

  • The results will display key details like department, costs, prices, margins, and inventory levels.

12. Review Results

  • Use the filtered results to make updates or decisions.

  • For example, to find items in the Beer department with a selling price above $15 that are synced with the POS, you can apply those filters to simplify your search.
