How Deals Work at the POS

How Deals Work at the POS

All deals in CStoreiQ are configured in the backoffice and applied automatically at the point of sale. This article explains how each deal type works from the cashier and customer perspective.

✅ Key Takeaway: Cashiers do not need to enter deal codes, scan coupons, or manually override prices. The POS handles everything automatically based on what’s configured in the CStoreiQ backoffice.

FAQ

Does the cashier need any training on deals?

Minimal. The POS handles all deal logic automatically. The only customer-facing interaction is for loyalty deals, where the pinpad prompts the customer for their ID. No special register actions, codes, or overrides are needed.

What if a deal doesn’t apply at checkout?

Check the following:

  • Is the deal active? (Check the start/end date in the backoffice)
  • Does the customer have the qualifying items? (Check quantity requirements)
  • For loyalty deals: Did the customer enter their loyalty credentials?
  • Has the POS synced recently? (Check sync status in CStoreiQ)

If the issue persists, contact CStoreiQ support.

Can I see which deals were applied to a transaction?

Yes. Transaction details in the POS receipt and in CStoreiQ’s reporting will show which deals were applied, including the discount amounts and manufacturer reimbursements.
