How to Create a Price Group and Add items to it?

Setting up a price group lets you organize similar products together, making it easier to update their prices all at once. This is especially handy for products whose prices change often or when you want to manage them in batches.

1. Accessing the Pricebook:

    To begin follow these steps;
  1.   Sign in with your account details.
  2.   Click the "Price Book" dropdown in the application's left panel to see more options.

2. Choosing the Price Group Option:
  1. Within the Price Book section, find and select "Price Group." Here you can create a new group or see existing ones.

3. Creating a New Price Group:
  1.      Click on Add Price Group, and Name your group in a way that reflects the items it will contain and save it. A message will confirm it's been created.

4. Using the 'Is Super Group' Feature:
  1.       If you need to combine multiple price groups, utilize the 'Is Super Group' option. Select which groups you want to combine, then hit save. A message will confirm the creation of the supergroup.

5. Adding items to your Group:
  1.      Your new price group is now added. To add items to this price group, click on the ‘Details ->’ icon in the ‘Actions’ section. Clicking this takes you to the Add Item page.

6. Adding Items to the Price group:
  1.      Use this overlay on the right to start adding products to your group.
  1.      Search for the item using its UPC code, description or any of the other filters like department, store location, vendor, and selling price.

  1.      Once you select all the items you want to add, click on the ‘Add items’ button to add these selected items to the Price group.

7. Reviewing your price group Item List:
  1.      Once items are added, they'll appear in a list where you can review and delete them if necessary. This streamlines price adjustments for the whole group.
  2.      By clicking Show Pricing icon will get list items with buying cost, selling price and Margin by giving the store location.

  1.  The list displays each item with its respective UPC code, item name, and department description. An option to remove any item is also available for your convenience.

This utility is particularly advantageous for items subject to frequent price changes. With this system in place, you can seamlessly adjust the sale and cost prices for all products within the group in a single click.

Please note that this procedure outlines the creation of a price group. To modify the cost and selling prices of these items, proceed to the 'Manage Items' page.
