How to View and Manage Current Inventory

Managing and understanding your current inventory is essential for tracking stock levels and making informed decisions. Here's a simple guide to help you view and manage inventory effectively:


Step 1: Log into the System

  • Log in to your account using your credentials.

  • Navigate to the "Price Book" option in the left-hand menu. Click on it to reveal a dropdown.


Step 2: Search or Filter Inventory Items

  • Use the Search Bar to quickly find specific items by name, SKU, or category.

  • If you have multiple stores (e.g., four or more), click Show Pricing to view inventory details for each store.


Step 3: Check Current Inventory Details

  • Once you locate the item, you can directly view:

    • The Current Inventory Value for that item in your store.

    • Stock levels across different stores (if applicable).


Step 4: Analyze Inventory Depletion Over Time

  • To see how inventory has changed over time, click Edit for the selected item.

  • Scroll down to the Date Range section.

  • Select a start and end date to view:

    • Total Sales for the item during that period.

    • Total Purchases and other relevant data reflecting stock depletion.


Step 5: Update Inventory as Needed

Updating inventory can be done from 3 places. 

Method 1: Updating Inventory via Stock Transactions Page

  1. Go to the Stock Transactions page.

  2. Locate the item whose inventory needs updating.

  3. Enter the new inventory quantity.

  4. Save the changes to apply the update.


Method 2: Updating Inventory from the Item Details Page

  1. Go to the Item Details page.

  2. Under the Store Pricing section, find the Current Inventory column for the relevant store.

  3. Update the inventory quantity as needed.

  4. Save the changes to confirm the update.


Method 3: Bulk Updating Inventory from Manage Items Page

  1. Open the Manage Items page.

  2. Click on Bulk update.

  3. Then select Current inventory from dropdown of Update data.

  4. Select all the items that need an inventory update.

  5. Click on Update Inventory.

  6. Enter the new inventory quantity for the selected items.

  7. Confirm and save the updates.
