Understanding and Managing Group Pricing Updates
The
'By Group Price' feature is an efficient tool for managing product pricing in bulk. It enables users to update prices for a group of products categorized under specific price groups. This powerful functionality streamlines pricing management, allowing for quick and organized adjustments across various product categories.
1. Accessing
the Manage Items Page:
Log in to your account using your credentials.
Once logged in, navigate to the left column of
the application and click on the "Price Book" option. A dropdown will
appear.

4. Viewing
the Price Groups List:
- After selecting
the store location, A list of all price groups linked to the selected store
location will appear, showing important information like group name, store
name, buying cost, selling price, and item count. If the Buying cost or Selling
price are not visible, it means the user never modified the buying cost and
selling price of this price group before.

price changes, Choose the desired price group and click 'Edit' in the 'Actions'
section to start making price adjustments.

Buying Costs and Selling Prices:

modify the selling price and buying cost for items within the group as needed.
- After
entering the new prices, click on the 'Save' button to apply the updated
prices.
Remember, once you hit save, this will update prices for
all the items within that price group and push it to POS.
- A notification will confirm the successful update.
8. Reviewing
Edited Details:
- Click on
the item count for a group to verify that the new prices have been correctly
applied to all items.
A popup
overlay will appear, displaying a list of all items within that group, along
with their buying cost and selling price.
9. Using 'Bulk Update' for Multiple Changes:
- By using the “Bulk
Update” option, you can modify the buying cost and selling price of multiple price
groups across multiple stores in a single click.
10. Input the details for Bulk Update:
- Choose the stores where updates should be applied and
select the appropriate values for either buying cost or selling price. Click
'Update' to push the changes across multiple price groups at once.
This feature offers a streamlined approach for
efficiently managing and applying pricing adjustments across multiple price
groups. Its ease of use allows for quick updates, particularly beneficial for
items requiring frequent price changes as part of a dynamic pricing strategy.
It is essential, however, to approach these adjustments with an understanding
of their broad impact, as they have the potential to significantly affect store
operations. Therefore, it is recommended that this powerful tool be reserved
for those with a thorough understanding of the store's pricing policies and
strategies.
